The opposing playing took a slapshot and his follow through was a bit long. As I was blocking his shot his stick come up and hit my head with a solid thwack. I went down and then saw blood dripping from my head so I went off and cleaned the wound, stuck a bandage on it and went back to finish the game. Went to emerg after the game and it took 5 stiches to close the gash. This was an accident. The opposing playing took a slapshot and his follow through was a bit long.
